Family-run country house hotelin 3 acres of delightful grounds, overlooking Derwent Valley and the Fells beyond. Broughton Craggs provides a warm, friendly service and has won various Silver awards: Dating from 1858, it maintains original features and design.
Above the banks of the River Derwent with rolling views over the Lakeland Fells, Broughton Craggs Hotel, with its own extensive grounds and gardens, offers the visitor the opportunity to enjoy the special hospitality and first-class cuisine of a hotel in a tranquil setting. On the edge of a traditional Cumbrian village only 3 miles from the centre of Cockermouth and 7 miles from the Solway Coast, Broughton Craggs is the ideal base for the business traveller or those requiring a wide variety of activities and interesting visits. After a hard day, relax around a roaring log fire in one of our lounges.
The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 10:30.
Pets can only be accommodated in the Double Room with Shower. Pets cannot be accommodated in the other rooms.
Please note when travelling with a GPS system, please enter the post code CA13 0XW. Please be aware that your Sat-Nav may take you to Broughton Park but the hotel is located on the left, 100 yards beyond the park.
- From the M6 motorway,the A66 west-bound at Penrith. Follow the A66 Road past Keswick and at the second Cockermouth roundabout, continue on the A66 heading towards Workington. Take the next right signed "Great Broughton" then after the bridge there is a 3-way turning; go straight ahead on to "Little Brow", then up the hill, turn right and the hotel is 100 yards on the left after Broughton Park.
- From Carlisle, follow the A595 to Cockermouth A66. At the final roundabout at the A66 take a right (following signs to Workington on the A66). Take the next right signed "Great Broughton" then after the bridge there is a 3-way turning; go straight ahead on to "Little Brow". Go up the hill, turn right and the hotel is 100 yards on the left after Broughton Park,

Suite With Four Poster Bed. Traditional four-poster bridal suite room in prime position in center front of house. This room carries a premium charge. Ask about the short break rates on this room. Double Room with Shower. Situated on the first floor, within the coach house section, this room overlooks the rear car park. It offers an en-suite shower room. Pets are permitted in these rooms. ;
Budget Double Room. This double room has en-suite facilities with a shower. Pets are not allowed in this room type. ;
Double Room with Garden View. This double room has a view of the grounds. Pets are not allowed in this room type. It views on to a courtyard. ;
