Situated at 100 King Street in the central conservation area, The Rex occupies the former Midland Bank, one of Manchester’s most distinguished buildings. Designed in 1928 by Sir Edwin Lutyens, its neoclassical form and subtle Art Deco detailing give it a presence that requires no introduction.
Behind its distinctive façade, a different kind of indulgence unfolds. Intimate rooms, elevated dining and discreet social spaces shape an atmosphere defined by character and intent.

Serviced by a lift,rooms and suites are air-conditioned and feature a telephone, a flat-screen TV and facilities for making coffee and tea. The bathroom is complete with free toiletries, slippers and a bath or shower.
Each of our 55 bedrooms and fiveSanctum Suites is a full-on sensory experience. Everything you see and everything you touch, from the extravagantly opulent linen to the brass and leather of the fittings, is designed to make you sigh with satisfaction.
