The Grand, York - York

The 5-star Grand Hotel offers stylish rooms.in the iconic Grade II listed former railway headquarters, it has bedrooms that feature free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes, slippers, Molton Brown toiletries and an evening turn down service.

The Rise Restaurant, Terrace & Bar offers modern British cuisine, with locally sourced, freshly prepared dishes. The open kitchen and spacious setting at The Rise, York creates an immersive and social dining experience for guests, guests can enjoy afternoon tea, lunch time snacks or an evening of luxury.

SubRosa at The Grand is now open, with facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, saunas and steam rooms, relaxation lounge and a gym. Elemis, Seabody and MarocMaroc treatments are also available. Spa access can be added on at £45 per adult and is complimentary for our Grand Heritage Suites. Access to the spa is subject to availability.

The hotel day starts from hour 15:00 and ends at 11:00.

Executive Double Room. Slightly larger than our Classic Rooms, the majority of our Executive Rooms also benefit from a walk-in shower, as well as marble topped bathtubs. Benefiting from a work desk area, there is also a flat-screen TV, Molton Brown bath products, bathrobes and slippers, and an evening turndown service. Prior reservation is required. ;
Classic Twin Room. This room features Egyptian cotton linen. The room also benefits from a flat-screen TV and an evening turndown service. The en suite bathroom offers bathrobes, slippers, and complimentary Molton Brown products. Prior reservation is required. ;
Grand Heritage Suite. An elegant suite styled in shades of cream, gold and magenta. Enjoy the spacious lounge area with a large sofa covered in velvet or unwind with York’s city views.
